      First Installation and Login

      First Installation and Login (v5)

      Local Installation

      1. Start Setup: Run the setup program from the installation media or download the latest version from our support page.
      2. Installation Process: The setup program will guide you automatically through the installation process. Simply follow the on-screen instructions.

      3. Select Components: In the selection box, choose both portier®Vision and Firebird.
      4. Create Folder: The setup will regularly create a folder at c:\portier\vision5 and copy all necessary files into it.
      5. Enter License Data: Upon the first launch, you will be prompted to enter the license data, which you received via email.
      6. Installing Firebird on a Network: To install Firebird in a networked environment, please follow these instructions: Firebird-Remote-Installation.

      First Login

      • Username: START
      • Password: START (case-sensitive)

      Notes:

      • The latest version of portier® Vision 5 is always available on our website: portier Software & Licensing.
      • Customers with Standard or Plus (with Firebird) can perform the installation themselves.
      • Customers with Plus (with SQL) or Professional have the Business Package, which includes installation and setup of the SQL database with one of our experts.
