portier® vision – System Requirements & Performance Guidelines
To fully utilise portier® vision for your locking system management and key administration, the following technical requirements apply.
1. Client System Requirements

For heavy usage, large locking plans, or multiple open application windows, 32 GB RAM is recommended.
2. Server Requirements – Database
2.1 Firebird 4.0 (small installations only)

Firebird is intended for small, local installations only.
For WAN or multi-site scenarios, Microsoft SQL Server is required.

3. Network & WAN Performance

With WAN latency above 30 ms, any under-dimensioning of the SQL Server will have a significant negative impact on application performance.

5. Important Performance Disclaimer
portier® vision is a database-intensive business application.
For WAN or multi-user scenarios, a powerful, dedicated SQL Server is mandatory.
Systems that only meet the minimum requirements may be technically functional but are not suitable for productive WAN operation.
